What’s the role? 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic head of solutions marketing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully driving product, service, or vertical marketing initiatives in the higher education or B2B technology sector. As the senior director of solutions marketing, you are the internal champion of buyer needs and are the expert in how purchase decisions are made at our target institutions. This role will craft the market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market priorities that enable the business to hit its revenue growth goals. 

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use insights to inform product and services positioning and marketing strategies. Document buyer persona attributes and key elements and milestones in the buyer’s decision-making process. 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive solutions marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product development and sales efforts. 

  • Craft compelling and differentiated messaging for our products and services. Define and communicate the value proposition to target audiences through various channels. 

  • Drive the development and execution of effective go-to-market strategies for new product, services, and solution launches. Work closely with sales teams to ensure successful launch execution and market penetration. 

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, including presentations, product documentation, website content, and more. Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels. 

  • Cultivate relationships with key customers, gather feedback, and leverage customer success stories for marketing initiatives. Collaborate with customer marketing on customer advocacy initiatives to showcase the value of our products and services. 

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing product marketing team while making strong individual contributions at the same time. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. 

  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to product launches, promotions, and ongoing marketing efforts.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead and inspire a team of solutions marketers. Ability to drive cross-functional process transformation. 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 

  • 4+ years working in a high-growth SaaS environment with education technology experience a plus. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

  • Familiarity with B2B campaign and lead processes, marketing automation toolsets and analytics platforms. 

What we offer… 

  • The base salary range* for this full-time position is between $125,000 - $160,000
